Dear family and friends,
Thank you for keeping us and Ecuador in your thoughts and prayers the last 24 hours, and for your encouraging messages! Last night was just wild, watching the rescue of the Ecuadorian president live on TV and with it happening about a mile and a half from our house.
Today, things have calmed down a bit, but still shaky; thank you for continuing to pray! According to the U.S. Embassy here, the police protests have subsided and they are going back to work. The airport here in Quito (and also in Guayaquil) is back open, but not all of the international flights are happening. The kids did not have school today.
We don't have any info as far as discussions, etc. between the government and police, but obviously that is something to keep in your prayers. We are safe at home and the kids even played outside today at a friends' place.
We really appreciate you keeping in touch and we will, too!
Love, Tim, Amy and the kids
