January Support Letter

Happy New Year! We hope you had a great holiday season with family and friends. We really enjoyed Christmas getting all 5 cousins together on Tim’s side of the family in Cincinnati with kids ages 1,2,3,4, and 6 – it was a zoo!! Now as we look at this new year we are excited to see what God has in store for us with HCJB Global in Ecuador. On the medical front, disaster response teams from Ecuador have provided much-needed care in the flooded areas of Mexico. In radio, new stations have been planted in South America and in Africa – reaching people with the Good News of Jesus Christ and bringing them hope. Amy can’t wait to join the medical relief efforts in Ecuador and Tim is itching to get started with teaching others how to communicate Christ effectively through the radio.

Of course, with the arrival of 2008, we’re faced with plenty of major decisions and big moments…everything from selling our house to deciding what to ship to Ecuador to finishing up fund raising and leaving our jobs within the month! In fact, we’ll be packing up and leaving Fort Wayne February 16th to visit Amy’s family in Idaho, then start our required cross-cultural training course in Colorado which lasts until mid-March. We’ll return to Fort Wayne to pack up the last of our things, spend time with family and head to Costa Rica for language school the first part of April. After a few months of class, we’re off to Quito, Ecuador!

Okay, so, we left one tiny little thing out. While we’re at language school, we’re going to have……..a baby! As if life wasn’t hectic enough, God has blessed us with another little boy due the 1st of June. We figured this is already an amazing adventure and we might as well add another twist, right?

We are almost ready to go! If you’ve already decided to financially support us, we’re extremely grateful. We are at 95% of the monthly pledges we need to head to South America. If you’re still deciding about supporting us with a monthly pledge amount, it’s essential that we hear from you as soon as possible. HCJB Global will only allow us to leave the country when our pledges are at the full 100%.

More than anything, we are so excited to have the opportunity to serve God through HCJB Global as part of the Voice and Hands of Jesus Christ through radio and medicine. May God bless you as you embark on the journey He has provided for you as well in 2008!

In Him,

Tim, Amy, Ariela, Isaiah and baby boy Dawson

Tim, Amy and family,

Tim you will be missed on WLAB but I know you are excited about what the Lord has in store for you in Ecuador. And I am sure that Amy is leaving patients that she will miss and will miss her, but again I am sure God has great things in store. May God go with you through all the steps and we pray that you arrive in Quito safe and sound and that your ministry there is fruitful and multiplies many times over. God bless!
