Halfway through

We're about halfway through our cultural training course here in Colorado. We have learned a lot about conflict management and resolution because it's the #1 reason missionaries don't succeed in their 1st term overseas -- because they can't handle conflict WITH EACH OTHER. Ouch.

Yesterday, we had a major reality check about the stress level we'll be dealing with and how to deal with it. The career missionaries that are teaching here are wonderful people to hang out with and learn from; in fact, today we have our weekly individual coaching session with one of them and those times are some of my favorites.

This weekend we'll get up close and personal with about 300 llamas! (to be continued...)

Tim and Amy,

God bless you and your sacrifice to serve God in Ecuador. Amy, we'll miss you at Matthew 25 and contributions to the Fort Wayne medical community and Tim, we'll miss you on Star 88.3 every morning especially when we drive to work. But your mission will spread the love of Christ across our world. Blessings to you and your children.

Love In Christ,

Doug & Diane Martin
